Snow and Ice

First, THANK YOU, everyone for the wonderful well wishes for Michele! She is on the mend and we're hoping back to normal in another 2 to 3 weeks. With any luck she'll add some posts before long too. Thank you, again, our cyber family and friends. Since she was doing better I was able to get out for some winter shots. Can you tell I got a new lens? It was a great time to try it out. Hope you enjoy!

  1. I CAN tell you have a new lens...close ups are great!! What's the red seed pod...do you know?

Glad Michele is on the mend...so pleased to hear from her.

  2. Thanks for the kind words, Bren, as always! The red seeds are Sumac; a very pretty yet aggressive wide-spread shrub. I'm guessing it's in your area too? I think there are 250 varieties. Although we've never cooked with it, it's a big ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine (Fattoush salad) and I've enjoyed many times.
