Another fly-fishing fly!

From my friend, Jake:

Adams
One of the most popular dry flies in all of trout fishing, and designed in 1922 specifically for our Boardman River by Len Halladay for his friend Judge Charles Adams. There’s even an “Adams Festival” in Kalkaska this year, I believe. Fished high on the water like any traditional dry fly.

Wings: Tips of two grizzly hackle feathers
Hackle: one grizzly hackle feather, one brown hackle feather
Body: muskrat fur
Tail: mixture of grizzly and brown hackle fibers
Thread: gray
Hook: (in this photo) #14 dry fly hook (but I tie it in #16 and #12, too. The smaller the number, the larger the hook)
