Hafle, Part I

Michele and I were very fortunate to attend a hafle this holiday season. Since hafle is an Arabic word (a crude translation is "party") everyone brought all kinds of traditional Arabic dishes, played Arabic music and learned Arabic dances. And, as you can tell there was Arabic attire! It was a wonderful time with old friends and new. I'll make another post later on the food, but here are some highlights in the meantime.
