Fall Manitou Sunset

Ahh . . . fall. Apples, falling leaves and cool, crisp 55 degree air. WAIT! It got to 84 today! And, many more days of above normal to come. It's nuts, but we'll take it (OF COURSE!) along with a gorgeous sunset. This one is over the Manitou islands which form the basis of the story the Legend of the Sleeping Bear.
This is the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore that just got voted the number one most beautiful place in the US by Good Morning America. Who'd a thot? Well . . . I guess . . . we did . . . because we moved here for its beauty years ago.
Happy Autumn!

  1. Thanksgiving colors! What beautiful sunsets! Your weather is unbelievable...and even here, this weekend it has gone up to the 20's. Remarkable and yup...we'll take it.

  2. Thanks Brenda! I thought these sunset pix Andy took were great! (Do I dare mention that I had, had a long day and fell asleep while he was getting the pix?? Oh dear!!) Sounds like you are having above average temps too?! Maybe this is "make-up time" for the late spring? Thanks again for always reading and commenting on our blog.
