The First Annual Suttons Bay YetiFest!

I think he was "Yeti'ed Out."

A slight slip did not deter this Yeti fan!

I missed the bike races and could only get a few shots of ad hoc fun.

It's been an icy winter so far.

The Yeti Parade.

Scary!

Two Yetis??

Even the Coast Guard made it.

His "friends" put LOTS of snow down his back!

Children chase the Yeti!

This is what Yeti's do best!

Michele captured a Yeti look alike.

That's tight--a very real winter in Suttons Bay.

The one in orange did Gangnum Style.

Michele is finally happy to meet not one, but TWO Yetis!

There was a lot of this...

Something for everyone.

Macro Monday

Sorry readers ... Andy is off again today! Any guesses??

How about now?

Yes, Monday is laundry day!!!

Happy Monday. We hope our family and friends on the east coast are staying warm and safe. You are all in our thoughts. Like much of MI, we are iced in today.

Macro Monday

OK, this is an easy one. Andy has this Monday off, so you are stuck with me and my lowly photo's. This post is for our good buddy Mike!

Here's the answer!

I guess it looks like I will be making banana bread this week!

Happy Monday!

~Michele

PS Mike, if you would like Andy can bring you one of these!?

Cat Nap Wednesdays

This morning I showed Katie this sweet little doll that I picked up yesterday at one of my favorite shops, "27 Stitches.

I'm not sure if Katie was yawning or telling me if I didn't move my doll she would eat it up!

And here, it is quite obvious, she has seen enough of the doll! Poor Kate!

The owner of "27 Stitches" is quite a talented young lady. She has a studio, attached to her shop, where she sews all kinds of neat things using recycled materials. Sewing is just one of her talents ... she even hand carved the shop logo so she could stamp her bags. (which are recycled!) At "27 Stitches" you will find handmade items from many different Michigan artists. The little doll and purse were a couple items I couldn't leave without! Good stuff ... at "The Mercato in The Village at Grand Traverse Commons."

Happy Wednesday all,
Michele

Cat-Nap Wednesday: Surprise Guest!

Let us introduce to you, "Mazey" the poodle, one of our very own local shop pets! Her proud parents are Pat and Dick Cookman, the owners of a wonderful local store in Suttons Bay called Enerdyne. We captured Mazey in her holiday attire.

Every now and then we get lucky and see Mazey when we stop in. Of course, we love to talk with Dick and Pat, but Mazey is always a treat.

Our cat, Katie, was very generous this week and felt compelled to share the limelight with another beloved pet in our community. We were impressed with Katie since usually the day is all about . . . HER. She's making such progress. ;->

Macro Monday

Can you guess the "thing" above?

Here are some more hints...

Awhile ago I did a photoshoot in my home studio in our basement. These consisted of a great deal of product shots and one product was a hearing aid!
