Cat-Nap Wednesday: Surprise Guest!

Let us introduce to you, "Mazey" the poodle, one of our very own local shop pets! Her proud parents are Pat and Dick Cookman, the owners of a wonderful local store in Suttons Bay called Enerdyne. We captured Mazey in her holiday attire. 

Every now and then we get lucky and see Mazey when we stop in. Of course, we love to talk with Dick and Pat, but Mazey is always a treat. 

Our cat, Katie, was very generous this week and felt compelled to share the limelight with another beloved pet in our community. We were impressed with Katie since usually the day is all about . . . HER. She's making such progress. ;->

Cat-Nap Wednesday: The Box is Never Too Small

That's right, the box is NEVER too small. It seems to not matter what size we put down, Katie will lay on it and eventually fall asleep. It's one of her big talents. 

Some day we'll try a little jewelry box and see what happens. If she lays on it I'll take a picture for you. It really wouldn't matter, however, because you couldn't see it!  ;->

So, why Cat-Nap Wednesday on Tuesday, you ask? Well . . . some days we post Cat-Nap a day late. I thought this time we could do it a day early! MEOW!

I know most pet owners anthropomorphize their animals and we are no exception. The second pic looks as if she is embarrassed of, perhaps, her weight! Alas, she knows not of it and has no body image problem we're aware of. Now . . . us on the other hand . . . that's another story.  ;->

I made Katie this bench many years ago and we sat it in front of our door-wall with a southeastern exposure. On one hand it is really cute and sweet when she uses it. The sun and subsequent temperature needs to be just right though. When it is she's down for the count.

On the other hand, Katie sleeps in tons of places as you have seen in this post. Does anyone need so many beds? I guess so . . . if you're cat.
