A Beautiful Saturday

Michele and I took advantage of the great weather on 4/14. We spent some wonderful time in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Here are some pix including those of an old farm within the park.

Macro Monday

Any idea what this might be?

Does this pic help?

It's the end of a log about 2 feet across.

We went to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and saw the makings of a new trail. The loggers had cleared a great deal and set up many stacks of logs. It was quite a site and we had a nice picnic on a gorgeous day.

Winter Pix . . . Not Quite

We don't really . . . have winter yet!! We have broken many records though - for the least amount of snow. So, here are some shots from our fall day trips on the dunes.
Happy  . . . winter . . . I guess?   ;->

Fall Dunes

We came across a new hike to us called Arcadia Dunes Nature Reserve. The hiking trails were recently completed and it was a wonderful surprise when coming upon it, serendipitously, on a beautiful fall drive just south of Frankfort. We plan to go back!

For scale, Michele is on a trail on the far right middle of the pic.
The main trail onto the dunes. This dune is called "Old Baldy".
