Until then, I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks of the grounds; inside pictures are NOT allowed. Lots of amazing landscapes, fountains, and sculptures. Some of the latter are "alive" . . . or just my . . . family! ;->

ReplyDeleteHey Andy - Those are great shots from Cranbrook. The family shots are very nice. I especially like the one of Ellie posing/dancing. You captured her fun, spontaneous, wonderful self. It is a joy to look at. Hey - I've got to check out your site more - I've seen a lot of really cool stuff from you two. I'll get back with you.

Great photos - it sure was a fun day! Ellie (the "joy" dancer mentioned in the photo) recently said she'd like to have a job like the woman from Wings of Wonder, rescuing birds and helping wildlife ... (Every week she's got some new idea ... I think she'll try many things.) At the moment, she's not interested in dance, except in her own way. Maybe she'll end up on stage one day? Thanks again for such a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteOops...I clearly made a big mistake in my haste to comment on the beautiful photos.....my sincere apologies((((...not knowing your family Andy, I didn't realize the "Wings of Wonder" tshirt wearer, was Ellie! I so admire her spontaneity and her love of rescuing birds and helping wildlife!!
ReplyDeleteAgain, my apology...I was so entranced by the photo, my brain wasn't working correctly in gender mode.. and this is a good lesson for me to not be so hasty in responding!! Thanks so much to Julie and cfcampe.
Now to google Wings of Wonder...
Not to worry at all Bren! Very easy mistake to make without knowing the family. Julie is Andy's sister and Chris (cf) is her husband. The two charming young ladies are their daughters. And in the last pic is Andy, his Mom (aka Grammy!) and the girls.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being such a dedicated follower of our blog! Oh, BTW I picked up a cookbook, at a tag sale last week, called "Out of Old Nova Scotia Kitchens." I will let you know when we try something from it!
Thanks again,
Michele
Fabulous pictures! We (Jamie and I) love going to Cranbrook!
