Late Summer Blooms and Marina Music

Lucky for us a little cooler weather headed our way. We enjoyed catching up with my coworker and her family at Friday night music in the marina park. A little rain the next day left gorgeous droplets on lilies.

Cat-Nap Wednesdays

As we do every morning, we played several rounds of Katie's favorite game this morning.

She loves having a large piece of newsprint to hide under. She seems so sure that "mousey" doesn't know she is there!

We are happy to finally have cooler weather and the windows open again. Katie enjoyed the fresh air this morning (I was outside and took her pic through the screen.) before settling in for her nap.

Suttons Bay Art Fair

Another great year for our local Art Fair held the first weekend of August. Good art, good food, and good people. Just so you know that it is NOT . . . all about food, I posted shots of art booths too. ;->

Traverse City LipDub

Yes, I know all of our local readers have heard and seen enough of the LipDub .... however I thought it would be fun to share it with our out of town family and friends. I think "FishSoup Films" did a wonderful job getting everyone together and creating this fun LipDub. (It was about 150 degrees that day!!)

Here is a video created by our friends out at "Two Lads Winery", on "Old Mission Peninsula." It's a short, fun video ‎spoof on Old Spice commercial. Two Lads winery is a great stop when you're touring northern Michigan. In the video you will see the spectacular view they have, not to mention, they are fun people who make great wine.

Beach Picnic

You can't beat a 15 minute ride to the Lake Michigan shoreline, a hike up Whaleback Trail, a Sunday dinner beach picnic capped off with impromptu fireworks. Weather was perfect and so was the sunset.
